Focaccia

Focaccia is soooo fun to make esp with kids. I love getting my kids involved in cooking. The younger you get them cooking, the more love they have for it and want to do it. I started my son off at 4 years old.. today he LOVES to cook. I did not do the same with my daughter and she is really not into cooking. So, I decided any children we have going forward, their little butts will be cooking. Anytime my nieces or nephews are over, we cook together (bread, pizza, biscuits, whatever).  You Will Need: 4 Cups Bread Flour (King Arthur) 2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Sugar (honey or agava)  1.5 tsp Yeast 1 tbsp Oil (olive or avocado) 1 3/4 Cups Warm Water  Bake at 445 degrees 10-12 minutes

Pizza Dough

Whenever we make pizza I LOVE, I mean I LOVE, making homemade dough to go along with the pizza. It is so simple, fast, and you really cannot mess it up; at least with my recipe you cannot. The crust is fluffy, and sweet (not over powering but settle). I forgot how lovely, easy, and delicious homemade pizza dough could be; this is because while we were moving we would just buy Whole Food Market pizza since it was 2/$20.00 and made with good quality ingredients. No excuses! Homemade is the way to go! Make my simple homemade dough and follow along with the video to get the BEST crust ever!
Update: I have included a bread machine way to make this dough. I have found that I LOVE that method more than mixing it myself. I throw it all in my bread machine, press dough button and let it go. I can focus on prepping toppings, or cleaning up while my machine does the work for me!
You Will Need:
5 Cups All-Purpose Flour
3 tsp Olive Oil
2 tsp Salt
2 Cups of warm water (110-115 degrees)
4 tbsp Honey
2 tbsp Active Yeast
Place warm water, honey and yeast in a bowl
Whisk lightly and allow to bloom for 5 minutes.. It will get nice and bubbly
Place dry ingredients with softened or melted butter into a separate bowl, set aside
Add wet to dry ingredients and mix until dough forms; knead for a couple minutes to pull together (I use my hands not a stand mixer-but you can definitely use a stand mixer)
Grease a bowl, and top of dough- allow to rise 1 hour or until double in size

Roll your dough out, bake at 400 degrees for 5-7 mins (depending on your dough size) this allows the dough to half cook before you place your ingredients on top.
Second Method:
Place all ingredients in your bread machine, place on dough setting and let it go. Please, please watch your dough once it starts rising, this recipe is amazing and the dough rises out the machine a LOT!! (I have learned the hard way) 🤣 (I linked my exact machine)
