Homemade McChicken

M cChicken sandwich, spicy or regular, has always been a household favorite until McDonalds started adding crap to the recipe. I used to work at McDonalds when I was 16 years old, things have def changed from then to now. Season it how you wish, I just throw a bunch of spices in and call it good! Does not matter what you use.  You Will Need: Ground Chicken Garlic Powder Onion Powder Paprika  Breadcrumbs  Flour Egg Wash Mayo Buns Lettuce Tomato After you form patties, freeze for 1 to 2 hours. Once frozen, dip in flour, egg then bread crumbs and deep fry until golden brown and 165 degrees temp reached inside.

Homemade Christmas Tree Ornaments

What do you do when you have children who are bored and need crafts to do for Christmas? What do you need to decorate your tree? Ornaments! Why not mix the two, and let your children create amazing, fun, easy, fast and entertaining dough for the tree! I have two different types you can use, both smell great! As they cook in the oven, I am left with the smell of apple-cinnamon pie smell, and it is driving me to hunger mode! Oh My Goodness! So GOOD!! The tree will smell amazing, no doubt!

You can also take these dough's and use them to make your child (children's) hand or foot prints and hang them on the tree with the year!

# 1: Cinnamon-Apple Glitter Dough:

1 Cup Apple Sauce
1/2 Cup Cinnamon
2-3 Cups Flour
Glitter

All ingredients in bowl

Directions:

1. Throw all your ingredients but the glitter in a bowl, and mix with a wooden spoon. Continue mixing until the dough is no longer wet looking {like below}, add more flour when wet. Add glitter, as much or as little as you like! The more the Merrier! Turn onto a floured surface {VERY VERY FLOURED} and knead a couple times, roll dough and cut with cookie cutters. Poke holes in the tops and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper {unbleached or bleached does not matter here because you are not consuming these!}

To wet here, add more flour

Over flour surface, so you have flour to work with if too wet

2. In a preheated over at 300 degrees, bake for 2-3 hours; you want these to be hard, that is how you know they are done.

#2 Salted Glitter Dough:

2 Cups Flour {I used Whole Wheat}
1/2 Cup Salt
Glitter
3/4 - 1 Cup of Water

1. Like above, mix all, roll out, cut with cookie cutters,poke holes in the tops for the yarn and bake at 300 degrees for 2-3 hours. You can also paint the tops, but why would you want too when they have beautiful glitter on them!!

*If you and your children make these please share pictures with us on Twitter @TheHaidens and on FaceBook #organicmominthekitchen, and #CraftySunday and we look forward to seeing your creativity!! I will put a finished picture of them on the tree on FaceBook! =]
