Strawberry Lemonade

I know I canned some strawberry lemonade concentrate and that is amazing no doubt esp since it has sat and all the flavors have blended nicely together.. but I wanted to make something fresh for by the pool.  You Will Need: 3 Cups Lemon Juice, fresh 1 Container Berries, cut Puree: 2 Cups Berries 2 tbsp Sugar 1/2 Cup Water  -Blend together until smooth Simple Syrup: 2 Cups Water 2 Cups Sugar   -Bring to a boil until sugar is dissolved 4 Cups Cold Water

Chili

Homemade chili is BY FAR my families favorite dinner ever. I can sneak onions, bell peppers (of different colors), garlic and whatever other vegetables I want, Kristopher and Kailee have no idea. A nice cup or bowl of yummy warm chili is my favorite every in the winter! It just helps warm you up and makes you feel cozy on these tough winter, snowy nights.

You Will Need:

4 Lbs. Organic Grass Fed Ground Beef, Chicken or Turkey
2 boxes Organic Beans
5 tbsp. Organic Chili Powder
2 tbsp. Organic Oregano
3 tbsp. Organic Dried Parsley
2 tbsp. Organic Garlic Powder
2 tbsp. Organic Onion Powder
2 tbsp. Organic Cumin
2 tsp. Organic Cayenne Pepper
2 tsp. Organic Paprika
1 Medium Organic Onion
2 Organic Bell Peppers
1 Jar Organic Tomato Paste
2 Jars Organic Tomato Sauce
Organic Coconut Oil
Organic Carrots
Salt and Pepper

Have most of my ingredients prepped and ready to go- all seasoning is to taste! Add as much or little as you want, I do roughly what is state above and adjusted as needed.

Either use these boxed beans, home canned, or dried that you soak over night- I chose to use dry and soaked them over night, boiled according to package, but these boxed beans are my favorite if I feel lazy. I stay away from canned items unless in glass jars because of the BPA Liners.

The ONLY tomato sauce and tomato paste brands I will use, again they have one ingredient tomatoes and are not in a BPA lined can which makes me excited.

Add roughly 3 tbsp of coconut oil to your stainless steel pot, I used a 16 qt pot because WE LOVE chili and never hardly have extras. Allow the coconut oil to melt in the pot, then...

Add your diced, finely diced, vegetables, I added peppers, onions and...

Garlic and carrots- sometimes I like to shred the carrots, but today I felt like dicing them. I like to shred my garlic rather dice it because one I do NOT like whole chunks of garlic in any of my food rather I LOVE the aroma it gives the food. You may dice it if you please, add to the vegetables and cook 4 to 5 minutes.

Add your beef, chicken, or turkey (my father rather prefers I use ground turkey because it is lean and it is his favorite- I must say I made this with turkey and it was 100% better! GO DAD!)

After the burger is cooked, drain off any fat, at this time I add my beans to drain if I use boxed (which I decided to use over the dried- I canned those by themselves instead! hehe)

Add your tomato paste, sauce, and diced tomatoes and stir well

Daniel deiced to add lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese to his like a chili salad, he seemed to have enjoyed it lots! I will stick to adding onto of homemade tater tots, or homemade fries, or just in a bowl with a spoon full of sour cream.. mmmmhmmm yummy.
