Cookie Dough

Oh my my!! Daniel is loves cookie dough more than cookies that are cooked. Whenever he is craving or wanting cookie dough I yell at him because the eggs are not safe to eat raw and I definitely do not want him getting sick, that would seriously upset me! Recently, I contacted the farm where I get my eggs asking them an important question.. Do you have pasteurized eggs? They told me "no we do not have those eggs and to be honest they are not the best quality and not good for you. But our pasture-raised eggs are completely safe to consume raw, if you want or need to consume raw eggs". Here is the direct post from them..
Vital Farms Hi Melinda - since our eggs are laid by healthy hens that are free to forage outdoors, we do not need to pasteurize our eggs! Pasteurized eggs are usually factory farmed eggs that require a sanitation process. If you were to choose to eat raw eggs, pasture-raised eggs would be the safest!
This makes me feel extremely confident sharing this recipe with everyone and with my family too. I had a feeling that pasture-raised eggs were the safest and best choice but honestly you certainly never know! Well, onto it... here is my most amazing, chewy, perfect, delicious cookie recipe! Enjoy!
You Will Need:
1/2 Cup Butter, (softened)
3/4 Cup Sugar
1 Large Eggs, room temp
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 Cup plus 2 tbsp Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Soda or Baking Powder (Bob's Red Mill)
1/2 tsp Salt
1 Cups Chocolate Chips (click here)
Cream the sugar and butter together
Perfect
Whisk in eggs, until light and fluffy
Add vanilla
Whisk in dry ingredients
This is the correct form you want; not to wet, not to dry
Fold in the chocolate chips
