Focaccia

Focaccia is soooo fun to make esp with kids. I love getting my kids involved in cooking. The younger you get them cooking, the more love they have for it and want to do it. I started my son off at 4 years old.. today he LOVES to cook. I did not do the same with my daughter and she is really not into cooking. So, I decided any children we have going forward, their little butts will be cooking. Anytime my nieces or nephews are over, we cook together (bread, pizza, biscuits, whatever).  You Will Need: 4 Cups Bread Flour (King Arthur) 2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Sugar (honey or agava)  1.5 tsp Yeast 1 tbsp Oil (olive or avocado) 1 3/4 Cups Warm Water  Bake at 445 degrees 10-12 minutes

Spaghetti Sauce

Spaghetti is a family favorite so I figured I would share my favorite recipe for sauce (with meatballs!) I mean come on it has meatballs you know you want to try this recipe. You can change out the ground meat with whatever. I have made this often with ground beef, and a mix of ground meat and ground pork (mild). But this is as basic and as simple as it comes, nothing crazy about it.
You Will Need:
3-6 tsp Homemade Italian Seasoning (to taste)
Homemade Meatballs
1/2 Onion, chopped
Olive Oil
1 lb Ground Meat
1 Can Tomatoes, diced
1 Can Tomato Sauce
1 tsp Garlic, fresh
Salt & Pepper, to taste
Dice your onions
Add garlic, onion, and olive oil in a stock pot
Add salt
Add pepper
Cook until translucent
Add ground meat
Cook until browned
Drain off extra grease (when I use turkey I leave the olive oil because it gives it a deeper flavor to the sauce; if you use hamburger meat drain for sure)
Add tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes (I also added basil, parsley and garlic salt)
Let Simmer then add spices
Add your Italian seasoning, adjusting to your taste
I used homemade meatballs I had fully cooked frozen, I added them in and let this simmer for 2 hours
