Focaccia

Focaccia is soooo fun to make esp with kids. I love getting my kids involved in cooking. The younger you get them cooking, the more love they have for it and want to do it. I started my son off at 4 years old.. today he LOVES to cook. I did not do the same with my daughter and she is really not into cooking. So, I decided any children we have going forward, their little butts will be cooking. Anytime my nieces or nephews are over, we cook together (bread, pizza, biscuits, whatever).  You Will Need: 4 Cups Bread Flour (King Arthur) 2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Sugar (honey or agava)  1.5 tsp Yeast 1 tbsp Oil (olive or avocado) 1 3/4 Cups Warm Water  Bake at 445 degrees 10-12 minutes

Sweetened Condense Milk

I have never tried canned sweetened condense milk because honestly I did not trust it (ingredients and canned lining scared me crap-less). I have always wanted to make my own for hot cocoa, fudge and other yummy treats (once in a while basically). Buying all organic ingredients also helps make this a lot better because you are using pure ingredients and you are not buying something that is processed and junk. Give it a try and let me know what you think..
You Will Need:
1 1/2 Cup Whole Milk
1/2 - 2/3 Sugar
3 tbsp Butter
1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Add sugar and milk into a stockpot
Bring to a simmer, making sure to stir OFTEN
Allow to simmer, while stirring, for 15 minutes or until thickened
Once thickened added butter
Add vanilla
And whisk like CRAZY. Leave on stove another 5 minutes to thicken it again a little more. After that, allow to cool for 30 minutes in the pot (stirring) and its done.
You can store this in an air tight container for up to a month. With the holidays right around the corner, I plan to make a huge triple batch for fudge, hot cocoa, and more.
