Focaccia

Focaccia is soooo fun to make esp with kids. I love getting my kids involved in cooking. The younger you get them cooking, the more love they have for it and want to do it. I started my son off at 4 years old.. today he LOVES to cook. I did not do the same with my daughter and she is really not into cooking. So, I decided any children we have going forward, their little butts will be cooking. Anytime my nieces or nephews are over, we cook together (bread, pizza, biscuits, whatever).  You Will Need: 4 Cups Bread Flour (King Arthur) 2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Sugar (honey or agava)  1.5 tsp Yeast 1 tbsp Oil (olive or avocado) 1 3/4 Cups Warm Water  Bake at 445 degrees 10-12 minutes

Creamy Potato Soup

You cannot go wrong with homemade potato soup! It is my entire families favorite; Kris and Kai cannot get enough of this soup in the winter, fall or spring. It's just that perfect for year round enjoyment. Typically, I boil the potatoes in chicken bone broth, but I totally forget to go to the basement canning shelf and get a few jars to use instead of water. You want to def use bone broth as that gives you added benefits esp in the winter. I am not gonna preach why bone broth is so good for you, you can research and decide that on your own; just know it is very good for you. (we usually can up a bunch each summer for fall, winter meals. But if we run out, we save any chicken bones during the year (place in freezer) or get them from our local farm/butcher, we just can up more no matter the season). Normally, I make my own soup bowls for this with my bread machine, however I just was not in the mood today. Sometimes, I just am not in the mood to go full on with every meal and need a break (cooking 7 days a week 2-3 meals a day is a lot to handle sometimes).
You Will Need:
1 Cup Rice
4 Cups Bone Broth
1 pk Bacon
1/2 Medium Onion
1 Stalk of Celery
3 lb. Potatoes
3-4 pk Cream Cheese
Salt & Pepper
Shredded Cheese, to top
