Focaccia

Focaccia is soooo fun to make esp with kids. I love getting my kids involved in cooking. The younger you get them cooking, the more love they have for it and want to do it. I started my son off at 4 years old.. today he LOVES to cook. I did not do the same with my daughter and she is really not into cooking. So, I decided any children we have going forward, their little butts will be cooking. Anytime my nieces or nephews are over, we cook together (bread, pizza, biscuits, whatever).  You Will Need: 4 Cups Bread Flour (King Arthur) 2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Sugar (honey or agava)  1.5 tsp Yeast 1 tbsp Oil (olive or avocado) 1 3/4 Cups Warm Water  Bake at 445 degrees 10-12 minutes

Homeschool Office Remodel

I have been wanting to remodel our main office for the children's school room for YEARS! I just never had the vision or time to put into it. This year, I made the time and drew up my vision in procreate and started to figure out what I liked and wanted it to look like, since this is a focal point if you come in through the garage (eventually, I will put doors up or barn door something along those lines). I hopped on Google and Pinterest and started to search for ideas. I was not really sure where I wanted to go with this, but I knew (since I have a 'L' shaped dark desk) that I wanted white for the kids desks and accents to be darker like black or something along those lines. I also decided I would leave the kids chairs up to them to paint once they get their gifts. They will have to paint and seal them before they can use them. Also, they will pick out cushions for the chairs so they are comfortable. We decided to make this office remodel for the children's Christmas gift (adding a new desktop, fixing the wall up, giving them each a space to relax while in school since they do online classes (like college) and just a place to go to learn. Right now, they are learning wherever and I do not like that for high school). So far, I am having a LOT of fun making my vision come true. We put together a scavenger hunt that will bring the kids ALL over the house, outside, basement, everything.. then it will land them in the office. We are NOT putting the new iMac desktops in the office, we wrapped those for under the tree. They will see the office first, then think that is all they are getting in there and no new desktop. Then boom open the gifts and there it is! I am soooo excited for this remodel and have been working very hard on it.

I hope this gives you some inspiration if you are looking to create a homeschool room for your kid or kiddos too. I know it has been a lot of fun shopping and figuring it all out. Eventually, I will be putting wallpaper up on the wall the kids desks are on, just not right now as I have zero time or I might put the wall paper up on the side my desk is on. I will also be putting crown molding up, once the whole house is fully painted, to complete the look I am going for.
