Focaccia

Focaccia is soooo fun to make esp with kids. I love getting my kids involved in cooking. The younger you get them cooking, the more love they have for it and want to do it. I started my son off at 4 years old.. today he LOVES to cook. I did not do the same with my daughter and she is really not into cooking. So, I decided any children we have going forward, their little butts will be cooking. Anytime my nieces or nephews are over, we cook together (bread, pizza, biscuits, whatever).  You Will Need: 4 Cups Bread Flour (King Arthur) 2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Sugar (honey or agava)  1.5 tsp Yeast 1 tbsp Oil (olive or avocado) 1 3/4 Cups Warm Water  Bake at 445 degrees 10-12 minutes

Breakfast Pizza

This is one of my favorite breakfast to make ever but it is time consuming for sure. However, if you are smart, unlike me, you can make and cook the pizza crust the day before and have it ready for the next morning, then all you have to do is make your eggs, bulldog gravy (this is what my granny calls it), bacon and sausage. But it is what it is.. Making the dough fresh is one of my favorite things to smell and do. It is super easy when you have a good quality bread machine (Amazon store front). Bulldog gravy is something my granny made all the time for us, it was a treat of course due to it mainly being bacon grease, flour and milk. 😂 Start with cooking your bacon, use that for the gravy.
Bulldog Gravy:
1/4-1/2 Cup Bacon Grease
1/4 Cup Flour
Milk (I just pour until its not thick then thicken it)
Salt & Pepper, to taste
-Place grease in sauce pot, warm up. Add flour and cook off for 1-2 mins be sure to whisk often. Now, pour milk, I usually just add enough milk to thin out the gravy and then cook to thicken. Be sure to whisk often, this can clump fast. Place on medium low heat. Once thickened, season with salt and pepper to taste (taste before done).
Pizza Dough:
5 Cups Flour
1 tbsp Yeast
4 tbsp Sugar or Honey
2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Salt
2 Cups Warm Water
-Add water, yeast, and sugar to your bread machine. Then add oil, flour, salt. Shut lid and place on dough setting.
